
This is a super easy stretch and one of my favourites to give to patients for lower back pain, hamstring tightness and hip mobility issues.
➡️ Simply lean towards the ground, keeping your legs straight (but still keeping a slight soft bend in your knees)
➡️ If you can’t reach the floor, that’s ok, just go as far as you can
➡️ Let your head hang loose towards the floor
➡️ Take 5-6 deep breaths in while holding the stretch
➡️ Extra tip: This is a particularly good stretch to do in the shower ? , letting the hot water run down your back to assist with the stretch. I’ll often tell patients to do it each morning in the shower. Just be careful of balance and shower safety though!
